Message from Organizer Jan Walling

November 18, 2018 – Annual Fall Horse Trials & Combined Test Event

Thank you and Congratulations to the brave riders, coaches, support teams and VOLUNTEERS who were able to turn out on this cold and blustery day!

Highlights of the day go to the following participants!

Margaret Henry & Jay on the Lowest Dressage Score of the day with a 25. Margaret was thrilled with her score and so chilled to the bone that she withdrew on that special score!           Audra Gogel & Abbott won Novice 38.5

Kathleen Elberson & Mulligan Man went on to win the BN Novice Division on her dressage score of 32.5!

Daria Grasse and Murphy’s Law won the Jump Start/Pre BN Division at their very first show together and the OVERALL LOW SCORE in our HT of 29.5  We COMBINED both Divisions and gave BONUS Points OPTIONS on one 2’3” SJ, and two 2’3” Options on Cross Country which were open to anyone in the division to encourage riders to challenge themselves if they wished while the adrenalin was running high! Congratulations to our Bold Riders!

Sophia Peters and Champagne, Won the Pony Club Low Score of the Day Tri Colored Ribbon!

Emily Oaks won the Training CT  28.2 with Shaunigan’s Tyrconnell, by Meg Fergusson’s ISH stallion!

Thank you to our wonderful Judge, Trisha Wallace.  Trisha is an amazing Coach and patient instructor! If anyone would be interested in riding in a CLINIC with her at QRF, PLEASE contact me, and I will see if I can twist her arm!

Former Olympic Coach of Irish Event Team Mary D’Arcy will be here for a Clinic January 18/19 freeze date or second clinic 25/26. The Clinic is filling fast, sign up ASAP!

We will run our ANNUAL DERBY February 17 with XC Schooling on Saturday.

Annual Spring HT and CT April 7 with XC Schooling on 6th

Annual Beat The Heat in the Pecan Grove August 18 with XC schooling both days.

Annual Fall HT Oct 20 with XC Schooling on Saturday.

Mary is an amazing British Horse Society Instructor and ICU Faculty Instructor who COACHED The Irish International and Olympic Eventing Teams for over 14 years. Mary is equally wonderful at teaching riders from Advanced through to the lower levels! Mary is also a wonderful Dressage Coach!

If you would like to ride in Mary’s Clinic(s) please click here to download the registration form send back to me ASAP with a check for $270. Checks are NOT deposited until the week of the clinics! Please sign up ASAP to avoid disappointment! Riders will be accepted in the order in which the checks are received, and groups can be filled! We usually have a wait list for our Mary Clinics.
