Hi Everyone,

We hope that you are enjoying this wonderful weather!

In order that we can serve your needs, please sign up with secretary Kathi ASAP (Events). We plan to Run a Combined Test/Derby incorporating some cross country fences and the water complex to get you all warmed up for the forthcoming season.

Ana Schravesande our recognized USDF/USEA Dressage Judge & TD will preside over the show. Ana will also be available for Ride A Tests on Saturday, I have also had requests for lessons with her that day. Please contact me directly via E mail for scheduling purposes if you wish to participate, and send paperwork to Kathi along with your entry. Ana is an amazing coach!

FEI Course Designer, Adri Doyal has been busy updating our courses and adding new fences to all divisions. Come over and enjoy them! The cross country course will be open Saturday 9- 3PM and Sunday, 9- until 1 PM. Fences on course will be marked and not available for schooling during the Derby!

We like to tailor our courses to the riders who will be competing, so that we can ask appropriate questions! The Spring time is a good time to ease gently into the season. This is especially so with the TADPOLE division! I well remember starting Carol Green’s little Tadpoles at poles on the ground and now some are going Training, that makes it all so worthwhile! Our idea is to try and bring out the best in all competitors, which is why I like to ask you what you need on that particular day? If you wish to wait until the end of the jump class and have the poles lowered, please don’t be frightened to ask!

We are excited to be offering some of our very young Silver Stirrups PC members their very first Dressage Test in preparation for P.C. Dressage Rally in March. For P.C. riders who are not yet able to ride a Tadpole X poles jump course, we are willing to waive the usual Ground fee associated with riding dressage only. We will extend this to all Pony Clubbers in our Red River Region. Tadpole SJ will remain within the front fenced grass arena to the south of home and behind Pecan Grove! There will also be a Blue Ribbon for the Best P.C. Score of the day in the Derby. This is open to all Red River Region Pony Clubbers!

Silver Stirrups Pony Club, which meets at QRF, is growing in leaps and bounds and is the second largest club in our Red River Region. Pony club is a wonderful organization which is based on Horsemanship, Education and Sportsmanship as well as riding! Members are not required to own a pony or horse. Our members are so enthusiastic about learning which is exciting! Please contact me if you have a child or young person who might be interested in joining us and I will gladly give you a contact number for your area.

Please help us to plan a FUN weekend by signing up ASAP!

Jan Walling
