Quail Run Farm was sorry to have lost our Annual Beat the Heat date of 30 years, August 20/21 to Meadowcreek Park; however, it may be a blessing in disguise given our ongoing heat wave.

Quail Run is undergoing some MOUND building with the generous advice of Carston Meyer. We are building a multi-use mound close to the water complex. The large bank will be remodeled into a multi-purpose novice and above level bank. Our Weldon Wall and Ditch which have been removed and back filled due to wash out. MEMO Never mess with Texas drainage areas!

We look forward to having new XC additions ready in the fall!

We are also looking forward to working with our NEW Organizing Committee. Thank you to show secretaries, Cat McCall, Susan Foust; website editors Anna and Ian Nicholson; volunteer coordinators Ginger Stueck and Judy Frappier.

If you are competing at QRF, please consider volunteering for an hour when you are not actively riding, or encouraging a friend, or family member to do so.

QRF Annual Spring Horse Trials Sunday, April 3 – Entries Open!

Join us for the 2022 Quail Run Farm Spring Horse Trial to be held on Sunday, April 3, 2022 at 624 Jeter Road, Bartonville, Texas 76226. Scoring is based on USEA horse trial rules. Cross Country schooling available Saturday, April 2, 2022 with pre-registration REQUIRED ($40). 18 inches to Training heights offered. Ribbons awarded through 6th Place, divisions will be combined according to entries, for each competition height. This is an open schooling show for Adult Amateurs, Junior/Young Riders and Trainers/Professionals. Intro (up to 18 inches, known to QRF as TADPOLE) – Dressage test USDF 2019 Intro Test B; Jumpstart (2’) – Dressage USEF Starter Test 2022 (If you wish to compete in this division, please enter as Starter then send an email to Pearl@Pearlsoffice.com and we will adjust your division.) Starter (2’3″, known to QRF as Pre-BN) – Dressage Starter Test 2022; Beginner Novice (2’7″) – Dressage BN Test A 2022; Novice (2’11”) – Dressage USEF Novice Test A 2022; Training (3’3″) – Dressage USEF Training Test A 2022. Concession Stand will be available. Horse Trial cost is $85. Office fee is $20 and tech fee $10. Dressage only tests are $35 each and will be judged with the HT riders.

Join us for the QRF Winter Derby Feb 20th with XC Schooling Feb 19th

Quail Run Farm Competitors,

We are pleased to announce our Annual Derby with Dressage Judge Becky Brown, L*.

For the FIRST time our Show Jumping will be held in the usual Start Box field, which is close to trailer parking. The Jump course will flow onto the cross country course and proceed around the beginning of our usual HT course and include the banks and water jump complexes and finish by the lake.

This will make life so much easier especially for our foot weary trainers!

We are willing to offer a Modified Prelim/Training course for anyone wishing to warm up for the season ahead, to include Prelim Dressage followed by Prelim SJ and a more challenging Training XC!  If we do not have three entries we will not flag the course.  It takes many hours to flag every course!  Please see the event flyer here.  Enter at www.PearlsOffice.com.  Entries close Feb 13th or when full (limited entries available)!
